Fireworks Extravaganza Events! Are you looking to celebrate the Fourth of July this year?

When July rolls around, we scramble trying to plan where we should celebrate our nation’s independence on July 4th! Both Saturday, July 1st, and Tuesday, July 4th, Durham’s beloved Eno River will come alive with Festival for the Eno. This festival will feature dozens of musical acts, along with hands-on crafts, art, food and beer, and water activities.

Over in Historic Hillsborough, on July 2nd, the 4th Annual Picnic in the Park event will take place at the beautiful River Park! Festivities begin with a community reading of the Declaration of Independence, followed by live music from several local bands. Families can set up their picnic blankets and enjoy lunch from one of many food trucks.

If you’re ready to see fireworks, downtown Raleigh will once again be your go-to spot when its annual Fourth of July fireworks extravaganza. Join the Celebration during the day with live music, kids’ rides, Circus Maximus, street performers, eating contests, and art vendors on Fayetteville Street. Fireworks will light up the sky over the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts at nighttime.

If you are in the Cary area, come enjoy July 4th Celebration at Koka Booth Amphitheatre on Tuesday, July 4 from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.  There will be a Patriotic performance, live music,  family-friendly activities, and a fantastic fireworks display. Kids young and old will want to take a ride on the Ferris Wheel. There will also be an array of contests, magicians, scavenger hunts, and rides!

You may also enjoy the Wake Forest Fireworks Spectacular July 3rd from 5:30-9:30 pm. The Band of Oz, one of the southeast’s most popular beach music bands will be performing.  Three food trucks will also be on-site during this year’s Fireworks Spectacular.

Maybe you want to spend the 4th of July celebrating by watching the all American past time of baseball at the Durham Bulls Ballpark. Come watch the Durham Bulls play Charlotte at 6 pm. After the game, enjoy the most spectacular fireworks show!
