Thursday through Sunday, see sparks fly at SPARKcon, Raleigh’s “we’re here | we’re weird | it’s awesome” creativity festival. This grassroots event is for the people, by the people and uses an open-source planning process that allows more than 2,000 artists to be involved!

Durham
The Bull City will be the center of attention with its 44th Annual CenterFest Arts Festival, showcasing juried visual artists from near and far throughout downtown! Durham will also host its first annual Brazilian Day Festival, presented by samba reggae artists, Batalá. Enjoy musical performances, dance workshops, local brews, and Brazilian food in Durham’s Central Park!
Raleigh
Over in the City of Oaks, check out the Dreamville Festival, a one-day, multi-stage, one-of-a-kind celebration of local culture, food, art, and music at Dorothea Dix Park brought to you by NC native and platinum-selling rapper, J.Cole. Meanwhile, downtown Raleigh will be bugging out at BugFest, the Museum of Natural Science’s annual event that lets you interact with entomologists and other scientists while learning about the fascinating world of bugs.

The IBMA will bring their Business Conference, along with the world’s most talented bluegrass musicians to the capital city for events like the Bluegrass Ramble the 25-27th, the 29th Annual International Bluegrass Music Awards on the 27th, and PNC presents Wide Open Bluegrass the 28-29th!
Durham
Success, business, and culture converge in Downtown Durham as black leaders of the past and future are honored at the Black Wall Street Homecoming the 26th-28th. Follow that up on the 28-29th with the fifth annual Art of Cool festival featuring a fiery lineup! Headliners will include Nas, Erykah Badu, Maxwell, and Durham’s own 9th Wonder ft. Spinderella, and they’ll be on stage at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park for a spectacular setting to celebrate the season!
