Upcoming Triangle Summer Events

As we are heading into the hot summer months, there are many upcoming Triangle Summer Events happening this month.

Whether you’re an outdoors enthusiast or prefer cooling off indoors, the Triangle has no shortage of fun summer events to keep you on your toes this season.  Summer events

Starting this week, Durham NC will bring back a summer favorite, the American Dance Festival. Called “the world’s greatest dance festival” by the New York Post, the annual ADF will bring two months of modern dance to venues throughout Durham. The festival features over two dozen dance companies and hundreds of choreographers, writers, and students participating in classes, seminars, and performances.

If you need some live music to inspire your dancing shoes, check out all the concerts coming to town this month, including Third Eye Blind on the 17th, Jason Isbell on the 18th and Chicago & The Doobie Brothers on the 25th! Movie buffs will be in luck this summer as outdoor screenings will be popping up all over the Triangle! You’re sure to find your favorite flicks among the list of participating venues, including the Raleigh Little Theatre, City Plaza, Koka Booth Amphitheater, the North Carolina Museum of Art, Knightdale Station Park, the Garner Performing Arts Center, and Apex Nature Park!

Food Truck RodeoAre you a Foodie? Then you might enjoy spending Father’s day at the Durham Central Park Food Truck Rodeo June 18th from 12-4pm. There will be a gathering of dozens of the Triangle’s most popular food trucks from American Meltdown, MaMa Dukes, Pie Pushers, Porchetta,  Chez Moi Bakery and OnlyBurger. Locally brewed craft beer and a band are always on hand. Dogs are allowed. This is the original food truck rodeo of the Triangle so it will make a great Father’s day event. The event is free to attend. You simply pay for what you decide to eat from the trucks’ menus–from savory and stick-to-your-ribs to sweet treats.

Pour a cold one Saturday, June 17th when the America’s largest craft brew festival Beer Camp on Tour takes over the plaza in front of Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts with hundreds of craft beers, the city’s best food trucks, live music, and good times. Every craft brewer in the nation is invited and you are, too!

However you decide to celebrate, I hope your coming month is full of thrills with all the Triangle Summer Events to enjoy! I’ll be here throughout it all, helping you enhance your home experience in the Triangle!
